My review takes a different approach by comparing the $500 W4MAX with my $1000+ scooter to prove expensive doesn’t always mean better. Both scooters are under a year old. The pricier one (rhymes with “blue”) has only two redeeming qualities: it’s the lightest scooter available, making it portable, and has a wide, comfortable deck. Beyond that, it’s been nothing but trouble:
* App-dependent (my older phone couldn’t run it, forcing me to buy a prepaid phone just for activation)
* “Customer service” consisted of useless AI-generated emails
* Handlebar caps constantly fall off (lost one already)
* App-required alarm deactivation
* Flat tire debacle – company claims “tubeless” but repair shop proved otherwise ($150 wheel replacement)
* Misaligned brake pads creating awful noises
* Display screen died prematurely
AND IT HASN’T EVEN LASTED A YEAR!

Ready to ride in 10 minutes (after charging). The optional app is nice but unnecessary. Smooth acceleration/deceleration with easy cruise control activation. Superior ride quality thanks to effective shock absorption – you’ll notice bumps on rough surfaces but never get flats. Functional deck lights actually improve nighttime visibility.
This no-nonsense scooter delivers pure riding enjoyment. It’s so popular locally I had to mark mine with stickers for identification. Should any issues arise within the first year, I’ll update this review. For now? ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I used this for my daily commute from January to April, traveling 6 miles each way to work. I charged it at work for the return trip and occasionally did 11-12 mile rides at top speed before the battery drained. On full speed with hills and carrying over 200lbs, you’ll get about 12 miles before it dies. For the price, it’s excellent. I’ve taken it on buses, used it in rain for work commutes, and ridden at night in -10F without issues. It feels well-built for its cost.

Setting up and getting started was easy. The handlebars on my scooter dont align perfectly with the wheel, but its hardly noticeable once moving. It has strong power, but speed caps at 15.5 regardless of rider weight or conditions. Clearly, the scooter could go faster, but it cuts off at that limitIll update if I find a bypass.
Theres no security or Bluetooth app, so bring a lock. The scooter is large, like rental units, making it a target for mistaken (or intentional) use. Also, theres no ideal locking spot (maybe through the rear wheel?). A small metal loop wouldve been helpful.
Minor gripes aside, the scooter is fantastic and plenty fast. My one-mile commute means it lasts all week on a charge. As others noted, solid tires make the ride stiff, but its worth not dealing with air pressure. Scooter tires lose 5psi monthlymaintaining them was a hassle. No more! A little teeth-rattling on rough roads is a fair trade.
