Installed these as HID replacements in my 2014 Chevy Equinox. Living in rural areas means frequent deer and animal crossings at night, so brighter road lighting significantly improves safety. Installation took roughly 15 minutes. The only drawback is Chevy’s headlamp design with a rear cap – these longer bulbs with built-in cooling prevent reattaching that cap.
Important notes for HID glass orb users:
1. Correct polarity is essential (as others mentioned)
2. Align both LEDs vertically to distribute light evenly across the road without blinding incoming drivers
The missing cap isn’t critical since the fender well’s access door provides primary protection against dirt/debris. Extremely satisfied with the performance – already buying a second set as backups for when these eventually wear out.

I mentioned to him that they were labeled for fog lights or high beams, but he insisted they’d work for low beams toojust needed to “adjust their angle.” However, when I tried using them as low beams, other drivers kept flashing me, thinking my high beams were on, and the glare from road signs was blinding. If you’re using them for their intended purpose (high beams), they’re excellent! I wouldn’t recommend them for fog lights unless mounted very low due to their intense brightness causing reflections. Definitely don’t make the same mistake I did. They’re simple to install and have great longevity.
