I initially loved the design concept, especially the turn signals, which is why I bought it. However, after test riding this model in NYC, I found it awful compared to my previous OKAI Neon, though the build quality is decent.
The reason for my return is the abrupt brakinganother reviewer mentioned the risk of falling at high speeds. I comfortably ride my OKAI at 20 mph, but with this one, I only dare go 12 mph due to wobbling and stuttering during acceleration. Keep in mind I weigh just 118 lbs, yet its still an issue. Sometimes the brakes dont stop immediately either.
The height is another problem. At 55″, I feel like Im hopping off rather than simply putting my foot down when stopping.
Maybe I got a defective unit, but Im not taking the risk. Its too dangerous for NYCs high traffic, especially with aggressive delivery riders. If youre in the suburbs, it might be finebut for New York, Ill pass.

I bought this scooter for my work commute. Its speed and range are ideal for traveling to and from my workplace. I could also fold it in half to take it on the train. After some use, I encountered a few problems with certain parts. Their website allows direct purchase of replacement parts for repairs. The customer service team has been extremely helpful with my issues, and I recommend staying with the W4MAX brand.

I bought this e-scooter to pair with our other brand’s model, thinking it would be fun to have two. While we haven’t experienced major problems, two design flaws significantly reduce our enjoyment and led to our 3-star rating.
First, the kickstand rattles loudly at various speeds with no way to tighten or adjust it. This issue alone would prevent me from repurchasing.
Second, the rear fender constantly wobbles at normal speeds. Though silent, it looks unstable and cheap.
Compared to our unnamed alternative scooter, this model falls short in value. For slightly more money, our other scooter operates quietly, includes app connectivity, and travels 5mph faster (33% increase). While mechanically sound, the flaws make this scooter not worth buying again.

Last year, we got our son his first scooter as a Christmas gift. I knew nothing about scooters or the brand and was surprised my wife bought it without consulting me first. I assumed assembly would take at least an hour and expected problems, but I was completely wrongit only took 5-7 minutes. On Christmas morning, my son was thrilled, but I worried about how long it would last. Nearly a year later, he told me the scooter showed an error code and stopped working. I thought it was done for, but when I contacted support, they responded almost instantly. They identified the issue, sent a replacement under warranty, and provided video instructions for replacing the faulty handlebar. After the fix, the scooter still didnt work, but support quickly diagnosed the problema bad battery. Another easy replacement with their video guide, and the scooter was back to perfect condition!
My son and his friends (ten or more) ride these scooters around the neighborhood like crazytheyre incredibly durable, and the kids love them. The scooters give them freedom and independence, saving us from driving them everywhere. Theyre reliable, with safety features like lights and a bell. I rarely write reviews, but this company impressed me so much I had to share. Just make sure your kids wear helmetsthese scooters are fast and can be dangerous if theyre not careful. We even bought one for our 11-year-old daughter, who kept begging to ride her brothers.

I purchased the W4MAX for my son. We used it for several years before it stopped charging. I contacted customer support, and they promptly assisted me by providing a new battery and guiding me through the replacement process. Their service was excellent.

I never imagined Id own an electric scooter, but I took a chance on this one and love the result. Its safety features make it ideal for commuting, with blinkers, headlight, and tail/brake light ensuring high visibility. The 18 mph top speed lets me get around quickly.
Assembly was simple, and it was ready to ride fastthough I had to tweak the main tubes stability myself, as the instructions didnt cover it.
The scooter handles my slender adult frame effortlessly, even uphill, and the brakes are impressively strong. The manuals safety details were thorough.
My video shows my second ride after adjustments. As a first-time rider, adapting took no time at all.
Im deducting one star because connecting the app to the scooter was unnecessarily difficult, even after a week of riding.

The first thing I noticed was this scooter’s solid weight and sturdy build, which I anticipated given its large battery. For me, the underglow lighting stands out as a crucial feature since both scooter riders and cyclists often struggle with low visibility to drivers. I particularly appreciate the regenerative braking system, which allows smoother brake modulation compared to mechanical disc brakes. This is my second scooter purchase since my two sons wanted to ride together. While the stiff suspension can feel harsh at times, it provides better support for taller or heavier riders. The scooter’s overall construction and performance make it ideal for urban commuting. Charging and setup couldn’t be simpler. I’m extremely pleased with this upgrade, especially considering its excellent combination of design, visibility, and safety features.

I really enjoyed this. Not sure why but I had trouble starting it (maybe due to seasonal temperature changes?). Managed to get it working again though, and I’m still riding around. It’s been great for grocery runs – can easily carry me and a backpack full of groceries a few miles every week.
Charlie –
This scooter offers great value for the price. It reaches speeds up to 15mph quickly. The lights look stylish and the battery lasts more than 10 miles. My only complaint is the missing suspension – rough roads make the handlebars vibrate uncomfortably. Except for this issue, it’s incredibly enjoyable to ride on smooth surfaces. I’d recommend it if your local roads are well-paved.

I recently bought this product and it seems to have decent quality and functionality so far. However, I find it strange that all the positive reviews are from “Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product” with no other customer feedbackseems biased. Because of this, Im giving it 3 stars for now. Ill update if my opinion changes after more use.
Update after 10 days: Struggles on hills, dropping to 4 mphmight return it for a more powerful model.
Update a month later: My daughter uses it at school and switched to the “D” and “S” (strong) settingsmuch better on hills now, and shes happy with it. For the price, it seems worth keeping.
Update Feb. 2025: The scooter got locked by the app and wont unlock. Found out if your phone loses binding after locking, youre stuck. Stopped using the lock feature until a fix is available.

I traveled to a nearby gas station, roughly 2 miles away. Before leaving, my scooter had a full charge. Upon arrival, only 25% battery remained, forcing me to walk back while carrying the scootera tedious hour-long trip. Not worth it for just 3 miles of range. Update: The battery was faulty, so the company is sending a replacement scooter!
Layla Torres –
I own the 300W version. It’s larger than I anticipated, but my 12-year-old can ride it without problems. Assembly and folding are straightforward, though the scooter feels somewhat heavy to transport. The brake is softer than expectedI hoped for stronger stopping power. It reaches 15.5 mph max speed on flat ground, but with only one brake that may lock the wheel despite the EABS system.
Two drawbacks I noticed:
1. You must push it to reach 3.1 mph before the throttle engages. My other W4MAX model doesnt require this.
2. Theres no key or simple anti-theft featurejust a 1-second button press to power it on.
Kayden –
The construction quality is excellent, featuring a robust main frame that delivers a solid feel. Performance remains strong even during uphill rides, with minimal motor noise and stable handling. The wheel design provides outstanding traction. This product is remarkably user-friendly, folding into a compact size for convenient transportation and effortless storage in car trunks.
Dario –
Compared to my S2R W4MAX, it’s significantly larger and performs very stably! The bigger wheels absorb bumps better. It feels bulky when carrying upstairs. Simple to operate. Dependable.
Quinlan –
At first, the product didn’t work, but the customer support team exceeded expectations in helping me identify and resolve the issue. Excellent service!

The Fallen review can be divided into two key aspects. First, the customer service I experienced was among the best I’ve encountered in yearsno exaggeration. It’s rare when a company not only resolves issues satisfactorily but proactively addresses potential problems before they escalate. In this instance, I emailed Highboy questioning why the W4MAX was priced identically on their corporate site while Amazon charged $59 extra for the seat and seatpost. I was entirely mistaken, as the team professionally and politely clarified. Before my wife’s W4MAX even arrived, they shipped a high-quality scooter bag (worth over $50) free of chargeall because I’d voiced an unfounded complaint without proper research. This level of service is exceptional, especially when most companies struggle to provide straightforward answers, let alone compensation when the customer is wrong. For this, they deserve 10 stars! More companies should adopt such outstanding corporate culture.
Second, the scooter itself surpassed expectations. Despite modest initial impressions, the W4MAX proved to be robust, well-built, and durable after just a few rides. The intuitive app and streamlined onboard controls minimize confusionmost features, like lights and cruise control, are managed via the app, letting riders focus on the road. As a first-time scooter owner (though experienced with electric skateboards), Id rank this toward the higher end of the quality spectrum. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned rider, this scooter, backed by Highboy’s exceptional service, is a stellar choice.

I purchased all my m365 scooters secondhand from Craigslist and became a self-taught scooter mechanic. My m365 pro’s bearings failed after approximately 2,080 miles (3,347 km). Replacing them was successful but extremely challenging. During the week-long wait for high-quality replacement bearings, I researched new scooters. The m365 pro’s aesthetics appealed to me, and the W4MAX Pro S2 appeared to excel in my priority areas: durability and minimal maintenance. It seems W4MAX asked, “How can we build a more durable scooter than Xiaomi?” – then delivered.
First impressions after a 10-mile ride:
==============================
Assembly was straightforward – just four hex screws to tighten. Charging to 100% took 75-100 minutes. Unfortunately, the W4MAX Pro’s dashboard remains inactive during charging, unlike Xiaomi m365 and Ninebot G30 models that display battery percentage. You must check the power brick’s LED for charging status.
The W4MAX Pro S2 features dual thumb throttles, offering precise control similar to manual transmission. I adapted completely within 10 minutes. Brake placement differs from Xiaomi – the manual brake is on the right handlebar.
Acceleration is smooth, though coasting behavior differs: the scooter maintains speed when releasing the throttle, requiring brief adjustment. A significant improvement over Xiaomi is the taillight wiring – W4MAX carefully designed the exposed sections to prevent the wire degradation that plagued both my m365 models (despite attempted hot glue fixes).
Vibration is present but comparable to skateboards or rollerblades. The rear shocks’ effectiveness is questionable, but they cause no harm. I’ll take minor vibration over frequent flat tires any day. Portability is slightly better than Xiaomi scooters, though bicycle trough navigation remains challenging.
Cosmetically, the scooter looks sharp except for one inconsistent light gray section near the front wheel. The removable front sticker and deck logo (easily covered with electrical tape) are minor issues for someone who dislikes branding.
The compact handlebars are simple to upgrade. I recommend these replacements: https://www.amazon.com/MEETLOCKS-Comfort-Handlebar-Designed-Cycling/dp/B073PT748H/
W4MAX’s market entry is welcome – competition drives development of affordable, durable scooters with replaceable components.

My university campus is enormous. It takes me 15 minutes to walk from class to the parking lot, so I bought a scooter for my birthday C the best decision ever! The scooter arrived within a week, fully charged. Assembling the handles was effortless. It folds compactly and fits perfectly in my Santa Fe’s trunk with no folding difficulties.
Performance is impressive: 16 mph uphill, 20 mph downhill, and 19 mph on flat ground (in sport mode). Though slightly heavy due to its metal frame, I quickly adjusted. The battery lasts all dayI charge it overnight and use it from 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM, still ending with about 27% left. Sport mode is my go-to, and cruise control is convenient since I dont need to hold the throttle. Note: The W4MAX app is required for this feature.
I avoid riding in rain to prevent damage. The built-in lights are bright and stylish at night.
In early December, I experienced throttle issuesloose acceleration and a capped speed of 16 mph (even in sport mode). W4MAX support responded promptly. After sharing photos and videos, they mailed a replacement part, which arrived in two weeks (luckily during winter break). Their service was professional, and the repair was simple.
Overall, Im thrilled with my purchaseits absolutely worth the investment.

I purchased my scooter for leisure a few months back and have already ridden over 100 miles. So far, it’s been trouble-free and performs well. It has enough power for city rides and handles my steep driveway easily. Charging takes approximately 5 hours and provides about 15 miles per charge with my usage. Just watch the battery indicator closely as the last bar depletes rapidly. The only problem I encountered was Bluetooth pairing with the app. However, since the app isn’t necessary for riding, I’m still rating it 5 stars – though potential buyers should note the app may not work properly on Android devices.

This scooter was my best purchase of 2023. It’s a reliable workhorse that got me to work daily without mechanical issues, rain or shine, handling potholes with ease. I experienced quick acceleration up to 19mph while carrying 250lbs, with a real-world range of about 12 miles.
The main reason for this review is the outstanding customer support. Mina was incredible, keeping me updated and helping with warranty parts replacements. Even when I broke an important part due to my own misdiagnosis, they still sent the needed part, the broken piece, and even some nice gifts.
Remember, there’s a real person on the other side of the world doing their best to help. Patience is a virtue, and kindness is free.
Thank you to the W4MAX team and especially Mina!!!
