I’m puzzled by this scooter’s performance. 250w power varies greatly between models. My kids’ 250w scooters barely reach 10mph and struggle with inclines, even with my lightweight 6-year-old riding. Yet this one effortlessly carries my 220-pound frame at 15mph and handles slight hills. It performs even better with my kids, since the heaviest weighs just over half of me. There’s a loop road around my farm with moderate grades – my 16-year-old can ride it without any difficulty.
Assembly couldn’t be simpler – my kids put it together in about 5 minutes with no special skills needed. Remember to charge it before first use, like any battery-powered device.
Range varies based on hills, rider weight, and speed. At full throttle with cruise control, I get about 5 miles. My daughter managed 8 miles by hypermiling. 10 miles seems unrealistic unless you’re very light, going extremely slow downhill. Even my 5-mile range gave me 20 minutes of riding at 15mph.
The brakes are excellent and provide reliable stopping power. Most of my kids can carry it when folded. While somewhat heavy, it’s manageable for anyone who can carry heavy groceries. If you struggle with items like cat litter, this might be too heavy for you.
