Encountered only one issue, which was user error due to misunderstanding start modes. Used for months to commute between bus stations, work, grocery stores, laundromats, etc. Load weight impacts battery life, but I’ve never been stranded. Minor wobble where handlebars attach—plan to fix with felt when I get around to it. Possible to ride in work boots, platform boots, or heels, though I wouldn’t recommend it. Local roads are extremely rough; some bumps feel like internal rubber band snaps—just odd. Watch your speed—19 mph feels less intimidating than it should on a scooter once you’re used to it. Wear gloves or embrace calluses, and consider a visor or mask unless you enjoy eating bugs and dirt.

This is an awesome scooter!!! It’s fast, handles bumps and rough terrain perfectly, isn’t too heavy, and has enough width for comfortable footing. I can even ride with my daughter. My only issue is figuring out the top screen – none of those icons ever light up on mine, just showing speed and battery level. Not a real problem though. There was an app mentioned, but when I downloaded it, the content was about cameras and home security, not scooters. The app isn’t necessary for operation. Battery life is impressive – I’ve ridden miles around town without ever draining it completely. Charging does take a while, roughly 4 hours.

Today is May 17th, and I’ve owned this scooter for several months. I’ve ridden it on paved trails, sidewalks, roads, and even some single-track paths. While it struggles with loose dirt or rocky terrain, it handles packed dirt walking paths just fine. It performs best on hard surfaces. The battery life remains excellent, responsiveness hasn’t diminished, and the brakes maintain strong grip. Tire wear appears minimal.
Now that my main e-vehicle has arrived, I keep this scooter handy for charging away from home. Its compact, lightweight design makes it easy to transport in my car for quick rides in new areas. Recently, I used it during a Las Vegas weekend trip – perfect for those too-far-to-walk, too-close-to-drive situations near convenience stores.
The scooter arrived securely packaged with all components neatly organized. Assembly required just six short screws tightened with the included Allen wrench. The app installation was seamless on Apple devices. Connecting via Bluetooth simply required account creation, login, and holding my phone near the scooter. The interface displays mileage, battery level, ride duration, and allows control over lights, locking mechanism, speed modes, and unit preferences.
Performance is impressive – the throttle responds well without being overly sensitive. Acceleration is smooth, reaching top speed quickly on flat terrain (I hit 20+ mph at 145 lbs). The single disc brake provides excellent stopping power, capable of locking the rear tire without losing control.
Compared to my Onewheel XR, Pint X, and W5Pro Titan Pro Max, this scooter holds its own. While the Titan offers greater speed and suspension, it’s significantly heavier. The KS4 folds effortlessly with a single quick-release mechanism, features convenient handlebar storage, and remains relatively lightweight. Though lacking suspension makes for a firmer ride, it’s tremendously fun on paved surfaces.
After thirty miles of use, I’ve found it maintains 18 mph consistently with outstanding battery endurance. The folding mechanism works flawlessly, making transportation simple. The elevated headlight provides excellent visibility for nighttime riding – especially valuable in desert summers when evening rides become preferable. Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with this scooter.
