I’ve owned this for one day now. The build quality appears decent compared to my kids’ cheap Razor scooters. The solid rubber tires were definitely the right choice – I’d hate to get a flat tire on my commute. Battery life seems shorter than advertised, especially with frequent stops, hills, and sport mode usage. On my first 6.1-mile commute (including inclines), I had 59% remaining after using sport mode half the time. At this rate, I’d get about 14 miles per charge (I weigh 185lbs with backpack). The neck joint near the front lock seems like the weakest point – keeping weight toward the back should help. Annoyingly, Amazon dropped the price right after my $549 purchase.
*8/16/22 Update*: After 150 miles, battery performance remains consistent. Wind resistance slightly reduces speed and battery efficiency. The front tire shows noticeable wear (I’ll measure it against the rear tire, as they were initially identical). The scooter handles my commute well – see attached Google Fit screenshot.
*9/14/22 Update*: The front tire wore down significantly after repeated use. Customer service explained that riding style affects tire life (I likely rode too aggressively). Despite this, they sent a free replacement tire and motor! Installation took 15-20 minutes (my mechanical background helped). Their customer service has been excellent, and the scooter remains fantastic. Thanks POCYBER!

Adjusting was effortless, and transitioning between roads and sidewalks is smooth, even with uneven terrain or obstacles. Though folding it is heavier than expected, Ive grown comfortable wheeling it around instead of carrying it. The app sync hasnt worked well, but I dont rely on it. The lights and blinkers are great, and its surprisingly quick, hitting 18 mph on flats and 14 mph on hills. It handles Portlands rain perfectly, even in heavy downpoursI just cover the screen with a plastic bag for extra protection. Now that Im more confident riding on roads, I plan to add a rearview mirror and maybe a better bell. It saves me money on gas, buses, and rideshares, and the battery lasts two days with my 6-mile daily commute in speed mode. Worth every pennyits made me feel capable and happy as a nervous beginner rider!

My 8-year-old has a Jetson electric scooter and loves it, but its biggest flaws are: 1) no kickstand, and 2) the max speed is too slow.
This Caroma electric scooter solves both issues: it reaches up to 6 MPH (10 KPH) and includes a built-in kickstand.
Assembly is minimal and simple enough for kids to handle.
Though heavier than our Jetson and with slightly lower build quality, it’s a solid affordable electric scooter that makes these trade-offs acceptable.
