Proper installation requires positioning the LED chips horizontally rather than vertically. Vertical alignment creates poor light distribution and dangerous glare for other drivers, while horizontal placement produces a clean beam pattern with proper cutoff as shown. In my situation, some glare exists above the cutoff line, likely due to oxidation and yellowing of my headlight housings rather than the bulbs themselves.

I am extremely happy with these lights. I installed them in my 2010 Prius, and they fit perfectly just like the original H11 halogen bulbs but provide significantly brighter illumination. These bulbs come with an integrated cooling fan. While many other bulbs on the market advertise being “upgraded” with heat sinks to avoid the so-called “noisy” fan, I’ve tried several of those over the past year and can confirm they are not an improvement. They simply overheat and fail too quickly. Save yourself the trouble and avoid those inferior alternatives. These are the bulbs you want. The light output is excellent, and the beam pattern is ideal with a crisp cutoff in my factory projector headlights. The fan operates quietly—inaudible from inside the car and only producing a faint hum when standing near the headlights with the engine off. These bulbs are undoubtedly the best choice. Don’t be fooled by gimmicks. These deliver outstanding performance and won’t let you down.
