I purchased a set of Cougar bulbs back in 2018 and used them in two different vehicles. A few months ago, my 2017 Tacoma was hit on the front passenger side by a car running a red light. While the impact didn’t damage the bulb much, it broke the plastic clips that secure it in the fog light housing.
After finally getting my truck repaired, I bought this new set, and they perform just as well as the original. They’re incredibly bright—even surpassing my factory LED headlights—and have a slimmer design without the heat diffusers or resistors of the older version. They also run much quieter. If these last another six years, I’ll be thrilled. The only reason I replaced them was due to the broken clip—the bulbs themselves were still working fine.
Other brands I’ve tried in the past barely lasted two years, but Cougar lights are built to endure. They’re the only LED headlight brand I fully trust.
