This scooter has plenty of pep, offering decent range and quick acceleration. I like the hand controls that eliminate the need for foot operation. The build quality is solid. The aggressive tires make the ride a bit bumpy, but they prevent flats effectively. It’s perfect for navigating town or campus, though it can’t accommodate very large ridersthe weight limit is around 220 lbs. Overall, it’s a good mid-range scooter with solid W4MAX support.

I’ve had the scooter for two years, using it most weekends, and it still runs perfectly with excellent battery lifeno issues at all. I’ll definitely buy another one.

I had the hoverboard until it stopped working after 6 months of use. It had larger, air-filled tires. This one vibrates a lot on rough roads but is very lightweight and won’t get a flat. I can’t tell the difference between high and low speedit reaches up to 14 mph. I’m 6′, 183 lbs and rode about 6 miles until it reached half charge.

We bought this as a Christmas gift for our son! He adores it! It charges quickly and the battery life has been excellent so far!
Charlotte Allen –
This scooter isn’t the most daring. On level terrain, it reaches around 18mph, though it takes some time for an adult to get there. My children absolutely adore it.
Hypatia –
Not great at all. Only manages 4 miles per full charge, shakes excessively, and tops out at 14 mph. The return process is also proving to be a hassle. Avoid this one.

For an affordable yet high-quality commuter scooter, the W4MAX S2Pro is unbeatable. I purchased one four years ago while living in the city and used it dailyzipping to bars and restaurants instead of spending $10 per ride. Later, my partner loved it so much we added a second scooter to our household for Christmas. Owning two of these and being completely satisfied inspired this rare review. Don’t hesitatebuy it and enjoy!

I’ve put 2,000 miles on the W4MAX, commuting to work 6 days a week for 7 months. At 260 pounds plus 10 pounds of cargo, it still reaches 18mph max. The maximum distance is about 12 miles, with speed dropping in the final miles.
The accelerator switch needed replacement after riding in the rain C the company sent a new one that arrived in a week. The repaired switch handles rain fine now.
The charger burned out around 1,500 miles but without any fire or smell. A replacement fixed that.
Overall, I’m satisfied. Even at 30 cents per kWh (expensive), a full charge costs just 12 cents.
As a heavier rider, I notice air-filled tires go flat more often. Solid tires are harder to change but provide a reliable, though rougher, ride. For me, the tradeoff is worth it.

I bought this scooter in July 2023, and it arrived in early August 2023. It was used for less than 2 months in 2023 (August and part of September) and under 2 months in 2024 (late May through June 2024). Suddenly, the scooter stopped charging but still powers on and runs. I contacted W4MAX, and after troubleshooting, they informed me the battery needed replacement at my expense for $185. Frustrating that the battery failed after barely 4 months of use! I initially considered buying another scooter but now doubt W4MAX’s reliability.
UPDATE – Shortly after posting this review, W4MAX contacted me. They first sent a free replacement battery, which didn’t solve the problem. I also bought a new charger with no success. They then offered to replace the entire scooter if I returned the original. Since I kept the original packaging, I shipped it back. The replacement scooter arrived today, charges properly, and works perfectly. I truly appreciate W4MAX’s exceptional customer service and commitment to making things right. I’ll definitely continue purchasing from them and highly recommend this company!!!!!

I experienced some problems on my side and required a replacement. The company proactively contacted me first and was exceptionally friendly and responsive. They shipped a new scooter to me within days of reaching out. This is an excellent scooterfast yet safeand if you encounter any technical or mechanical issues, their support team will resolve them quickly! Highly recommended.

I truly love this scooter, but the range only gets me about 13-15 miles on a good day. Perhaps it’s because I weigh 210 pounds, but the battery life doesn’t last as long as I expected.

I’ve wanted one of these for a long time. Only used it for a few days but it’s fast, user-friendly, and has great battery life. All components are made of premium durable materials. The under-board lighting is a nice feature. Assembly took roughly 2 minutes to get road-ready. Overall appears to be excellent quality.

This scooter is excellentsturdy and well-built. I bought it for my wife to keep up with our kids on their bikes and scooters, and she loves it. Perfect for family rides and bonding. It’s user-friendly, easy to assemble, and the battery life is impressive. Even my friend’s son tried it and now wants one. Highly recommendedyou won’t be disappointed.

Can the GXL MAX electric scooter transport you from point A to point B? Absolutely, though prepare for a bone-rattling journey. Assembly was relatively straightforward, though threading the brake line through the handlebar proved challenging. Charging requires approximately four hours. Be warnedthis scooter carries substantial weight, demanding some effort when loading into vehicles.
The riding experience is harsh. Even on smooth pavement, the scooter delivers a jolting ride that makes your vision vibrate rapidly. While functional for commuting, comfort is severely lacking. Adding suspension might significantly improve the ride quality.
The flat-free tires are a plus, but overall, the scooter desperately needs enhancements for a smoother, more comfortable ride.

This Christmas gift was for my 14-year-old son, and he’s completely obsessed with it. He says it rides smoothly, loves the lights, finds it easy to store, and so far has no complaints.
Aria Lopez –
The Thai electric scooter is excellent. My daughter uses it to commute to school and volleyball training. Their customer service responds promptly to technical problems. I’d highly recommend this scooter to potential buyers.

This electric scooter is excellent. I purchased it for my 12-year-old and found the height ideal for that age range. Assembly and operation are simple. A great feature is its smartphone connectivity for easy speed limit adjustment. Additionally, its portability makes it perfect for travel.
Mekapak Nacohum –
I recently purchased my second W4MAX, and it remains an incredible scooter for its price. My first W4MAX from 2022 has proven extremely reliable, showing no factory defects despite heavy use. For nearly two years, I’ve ridden it almost five days a week for work commutes and other errands. While the tires are now bald, the battery shows slight aging, and the handlebar clasp spring has loosened, it still performs well and holds a charge. This faithful scooter has served me wonderfully, and I plan to pass it on to someone else.

This Scotty has thick wheels that provide support when turning. It offers multiple speed levels. Even though I’ve used an electric Scotty before, it took me a few days to control the speed due to its weight. The ride is very smooth – I love it. The battery lasts long; I’ve only changed it once in a month despite daily use, though for short rides. Overall it’s good quality and you can feel it while riding.

Here’s the rewritten version:
You can see my old review below. What I want to add is this – I’ve put insane mileage on both my W4MAX scooters, easily over 1000+ miles each. They’re still running fine, though the wheels are wearing out and will need replacement soon. Not sure what the expected service life is, but this mileage is crazy. During good weather months (April-June, September-October), I save about 120 miles weekly on my SUV.
I’m writing this because some 1-star reviews claim these scooters don’t last. While those experiences may be true, they must be exceptions. I wish these had odometers – I’ve been tracking rides with my Garmin GPS watch, recording 780 miles over the past 7 weeks between both scooters (I weigh 200 lbs).
Considering a new scooter but torn about pneumatic tires. The solid tires are hard but eliminate flat worries. My town is resurfacing roads soon – currently, I ride mostly on smooth trails but have to navigate 1.25 miles of rough roads to reach them. This won’t be an issue much longer.
The W4MAX easily gets 15 miles per charge (not using comfort mode) and would likely approach the stated range. At 12mph it feels slow for commuting, but 19mph feels productive without being dangerously fast. Living in a hilly area, I avoid steep streets with limited visibility. The scooter maintains 13-15mph uphill and hits 20-21mph downhill – I pass most cyclists unless they’re really pushing hard.
Compared to biking, the W4MAX saves me about 17 minutes on my 10-mile trips. While air-filled tires might be more comfortable, I appreciate not worrying about flats – a friend in Brooklyn switched to solids after repeated punctures on his commute to Manhattan. The current W4MAX models are $100-150 cheaper now, and while I consider higher-end scooters, this one meets all my needs at half or a third the price.
