I weigh 220 lbs, well under the max capacity. Right out of the box, this product fails to handle a 15% incline despite being advertised to manage it effortlessly, even with a full charge. The power button is poorly designedbrand new, it sticks, making mode changes difficult and often just toggling the headlight instead. It performs well on flat surfaces. Their excellent customer service earns them 4 stars.

It has excellent build quality, and I’m particularly impressed with how well the cruise control operates. The non-slip rubber standing platform is also thoughtfully designed. This scooter is perfectly designed for kids, ideally aged 6 to 8. It features two speed settings (3 mph and 6 mph) with a claimed range of up to 7 miles. Assembly was straightforward, though you should carefully align the wheel with the handlebar. The included Allen wrench makes setup easy. LED lights on the deck indicate power status and current speed mode. Operation is simple: step on the deck button, kick to start, and the motor engages. Double-press the button to switch to high speed (6 mph). Braking requires stepping down on the manual friction brake mechanism. The scooter automatically powers off after a few minutes of inactivity. With a 110 lb weight limit and 4 adjustable handlebar positions, it’s clearly made for children. The advertised runtime is 85 minutes. Always remember to provide a helmet before riding!

Apparently the app can’t lock or track the scooter at all, based on what I’ve found online. The manual and included guides are extremely vague. While simplicity is good and the pictures help, crucial information like powering on/off, controlling lights, and adjusting engine output is buried on page 23 in a single paragraph explaining that everything is controlled by the scooter’s ONLY button – the power button.
The scooter looks great with sturdy metal parts and solid welding. However, its lightweight design is concerning. During hard stops (thanks to very effective disc brakes), you can almost feel it lifting off. For instance, hitting a raised sidewalk at speed makes it easy to catch air – both fun and risky. It generally feels unstable. Average speed is 15 mph, reaching 18 mph on flat asphalt, but hills slow it down to 8-11 mph on 15+ grade slopes.
With the app being unreliable and support lacking, I worry that any breakdown could mean the end for this scooter. On the plus side, the battery performs as advertised, the charger works well, and it handles rain fine – which was a concern for me.

The Ninebot Max and this model share nearly identical footprints, yet this one is lighter and a fraction of the pricean excellent deal, I must say. Unlike the Ninebot, it features front-wheel drive with a rear brake. For braking, it’s upgraded from drum to disc brakes.
